1959 yılında Milli Lig adıyla başlayan Süper Lig'de bir çok takım yer aldı. Bazı kulüpler istedikleri istikrarı yakalayamayıp amatör kümeye kadar gerilerken, bazı kulüpler de kapandı.

PTT
PTT Spor kulübü 12 sezon boyunca Süper Lig'de mücadele etti.

PTT’nin bölünmesi sonucu, 1998'de ismini Türk Telekomspor, renklerini ise turkuaz-lacivert-beyaz olarak deÄŸiÅŸti. Son olarak 2010/11 sezonunda 2.lig kırmızı grupta mücadele eden Türk Telekom futbol takımı sessiz sedasız kapatıldı.

1947 yılında Türkiye Şeker Fabrikaları tarafından kurulan Şekerspor, 10 sezon Süper lig'de mücadele etti. Çok kez ismi değiştirilen Şekerspor son olarak Turanspor adını aldı ve amatör lig'de mücadele etmekteydi ancak amatör ligden de çekildiler.

4. Zonguldakspor
Zonguldakspor
1973-74 sezonunda 1. Lige çıkıp 14 yıl boyunca yer aldığı 1. Lig'de 1979-80 sezonunda en başarılı performansı sergileyerek 3. oldu. 1981-82 sezonundaki dördüncülükten sonra güçten düşmeye başlayan Zonguldakspor 1. Amatör Küme'ye kadar düştü.

Türkiye 1. Ligini deyim yerindeyse sallayan Zonguldakspor, Türkiye'deki amatör futbolun 2. seviyesi olan il bazında mücadeleye yani Zonguldak 1. Amatör Küme'ye düştü.

Bu olaydan sonra Zonguldakspor'un adı Fenerspor olarak değiştirildi.

5. Orduspor
Orduspor
11 sezon Türkiye Süper Ligi'nde yer alan Orduspor 1978-79 sezonunda ligi 4. sırada bitirerek UEFA Kupası'na katıldı. Birinci turda o dönemin Avrupa'da en çok ses getiren takımlarından Banik Ostrava ile eşleşen Orduspor, ilk maçı Ordu'da 2-0 kazanma başarısı göstermesine rağmen deplasmanda 6-0 gibi farklı bir skorla mağlup olarak UEFA Kupası'na veda etmişti.

Son olarak yakın tarihte 2011-2013 arası Süper Lig'de yer alan Orduspor 4 sene içerisinde amatör lige kadar düştü. Orduspor şu an ise Bölgesel Amatör Lig'de mücadele ediyor.

Diyarbakırspor
11 sezon Türkiye Süper Ligi'nde mücadele eden Diyarbakırspor son olarak 2009/10 tarihinde Süper Lig'de yer aldı. Üst üste 4 lig birden düşmeye devam ederek Bölgesel Amatör Lige gerileyen Diyarbakırspor'un yönetim, teknik heyet ve futbolcuları dağıldığı için kulübün kapanması kararı alındı.

Diyarbakırspor, 2013-2014 sezonunda Bölgesel Amatör Lig'de sezon öncesi ligden çekildiği için ve bir sonraki sezonda da Diyarbakır Süper Amatör Lige katılmadığı için 2015-2016 sezonunda doğrudan Diyarbakır 1. Amatör Ligi'ne dahil oldu. 22 maçta 3 galibiyet, 2 beraberlik ve 17 yenilgi aldı ve lig sonuncusu olarak Diyarbakır 2. Amatör Ligi'ne düştü. Diyarbakırspor şu anda ise Diyarbakır 2. Amatör Ligi'nde mücadele ediyor.

Malatyaspor

Profesyonel liglerde tutunamayan Malatyaspor amatör lige kadar düştü. Malatyaspor şu an Malatya 1. Amatör Ligi'nde mücadele etmektedir.

1994-95 sezonunda Süper Lig'de mücadele eden Petrol Ofisi aynı sezon küme düştü. 2000-01 sezonunda ise 3. Lige düştü. Maddi sıkıntılar nedeniyle Türkiye liglerinden çekilen Petrol Ofisi'nin 2010 yılında tescili iptal edilmiş ve kulüp kapanmıştır.

Maddi olarak Jet-PA şirketinin sponsorluğunda ilerleyen kulüp Jet-PA şirketinin iflas etmesi nedeniyle mali sıkıntılar yaşadıktan sonra 2. ve 3. ligler'de mücadele etmiş ancak 2013-14 sezonunda yaşadığı mali sıkıntılardan dolayı ötürü ligden çekildi ve amatör kümeye düştü.
